Finally, the post I’ve been wanting to share with you guys!
When I was in Sweden with my boyfriend the summer, we chose to stay at the Downtown Camper in Stockholm! It is a Scandic hotel, which meant I knew there was going to be a good selection at the breakfast buffet haha. Boy, was I in for a real treat. This hotel had exceeded all expectations starting with the first step walked through that door. The whole aesthetic of the hotel is like nothing I’ve seen before. There was so much detail put into every single corner of every level.
What does the hotel have to offer?
It has a very urban hipster theme with bikes and skateboards available right at the entrance!
–Gym with yoga room (and a view)
-Shuffleboard and ping pong on the room levels
-Spa called ”The Nest” (Yes, it looks like an actual ginormous birds nest) They have an outdoor pool with a view of the whole city! Massages and beauty treatments available upon request
-Theater (The World Cup was going on when we were there so it was awesome to have our own private viewing area)
-Hammock Meditation…yep! These were perfect for those who wanted to get a nice relaxation sesh in before the weekend! I didn’t get to try it, but REALLY wanted to. It is right above the lobby area and I believe you get a pair of headphones to just totally zone out and do you.
The rooms were cool and uniquely done! I love the white bathrooms and all their products were great! I actually brought a bunch of my own shampoo and conditioner but didn’t end up using any of it because I liked theirs better hehe.
It was cool how there a little couch hangout spot by the window. It gave us some extra room if we wanted to do some computer work or just chill there checking out the view!
There’s also a bar downstairs by the restaurant! Super cool and trendy spot with tasty crafted cocktails and cool bartenders!
The food at the restaurant was to die for! My boyfriend and I made sure that we didn’t miss one breakfast! Haha seriously set our alarm everyday no matter how crazy the night before was!
I highly recommend this hotel and truly would love to always stay here when I come to Stockholm 🙂 Make sure to say hi to one of the Aussie guys, Christian! He is the guy that works right at the entrance and loves being social with all the guests telling them cool places to go to and see while on their travels!
