In collaboration with Lyko
Hi my loves!
Have you checked out Lyko? It is basically paradise for anyone interested in beauty, hair and makeup! It is pretty new to me since I live in California BUT let me tell you that I took full advantage of it when I went to Sweden this last time.
I have had a few issues with my hair over the years which has been driving me crazy. I used to have extremely long and thick hair and then when I changed hairdressers a lady in San Diego had completely ruined my hair and cut off five inches. My hair was getting shorter and shorter and with nothing to weigh it down, there was all this unwanted frizzy volume! Terrible, let me tell you haha. After dealing with this hair issue for about a year, I then see my cousin Emilia with the shiniest luscious hair she’s ever had. I asked her what her secret was and she said REDKEN!
I thought no way, but she swore by it so I just had to give it a try. I ended up loving it and could totally see a difference in my hair. The key is which Redken to go to, because there are a few types out there. You should definitely search for the right one for you but I have to say my number one fave is the blue bottle (Extreme). It gave me so much moisture and hydration that my hair was craving. I then mix it up with the gold (All Soft) shampoo and mask that you see here in the images! This followed by the KERASTASE ELIXIR ULTIME is magic. Use the Kerastase on the ends of your hair when your hair is towel dried and leave it in for best results 🙂
One little secret that’s not featured in this post, is OLAPLEX! You guys, game changer! I use it once a week right before I shower. First you wet your hair, leave Olaplaex in for about 10-15 minutes and then hop in the shower to rinse it out and use shampoo and conditioner to follow.
And when it comes to brushes and straighteners, I am a GHD babe all day! When I go to Sweden, I have this cute pink rainbow colored straightener and when I’m home, I have my turquoise one that I’ve had for years and absolutely love! They are the only straighteners that I feel don’t really damage my hair. Quick secret, don’t straighten the ends of your hair.
Any questions or comments?? Let me know!!
